Ducati Revolt

Ducati Save the World

As cities have become more global, the local culture has suffered. All the advantages that arise from a connected world can only be sustainable if they embrace diversity. The underground has always been there, crafting the identity of the people, defining what the general populous calls cultural change. With the embrace of change, Revolt becomes an essential part of the revolution, keeping cities global with a local attitude and feel.

No generation is the same as the last one, every time the tables get flipped and so it is this time as well. Growing into a digital world with complex behaviours is exciting, the opportunities are endless. Creativity has no bounds, but the real world and its intrinsic resistance to change. Striving to make a dent in society, it is creativity, which this new generations seeks to fulfil their lives. Still young but with big ambitions to improve the world, this generation is here to save the world.

Crafting the perfect tool for the underground and revolution begins with the realization, that only something that lives in the city can become part of it. Just like a can of spray-paint or skateboards have their intrinsic place in the streets of the world, the Ducati Revolt has to roll on them too. Seeing the landscape with asphalt and sprawling building it must adapt to its environment to overcome the cultural distance. Combining the creativity of a BMX and the capability of trials motorcycles gives this vehicle a new voice in the loud city.

Moving into the urban landscape the powerplant has to adapt to survive. A compact electric motor with a transparent cover shows the way forward with material matched accents. Staying within the power regulations for ebikes it’s possible to ride it around town.

Charging happens by CCS, to give it the capacity to be on the streets within minutes. The cover is integrated into the seat for easy access and packaging.

To keep Charging at a high rate the converter needs to be kept at a certain temperature. For cooling two fans are integrated into the seat assembly. THe fans draw the fresh air through the covers that have a Ducati specific pattern.

Keeping the looks from a BMX also means creating the illusion of no brakes. Thus the rim brakes make the most sense, as they are not visible from the left side and provide a clean view through the rim.

Feeling like a BMX or Trial motorcycle comes from the suspension in a big part. Thus being able to lock it with a quick twist for maximum handlebar feeling or releasing it to shred down uneven terrain, makes it unique.

A uninterrupted steering is what BMX riders are accustomed to, so it should be the same with revolt. No barriers for turning the handlebars, 360° of movement with a new type of milled suspension, integrating lots of travel and stability in one component.

Pegs positioned in a single line gives the ability to grind without having a snag anywhere. Made with a grippy pattern for not sliding off.

Different attachments can be mounted to the inner frame of revolt. Everything is possible, from longer range, thanks to an additional battery or some music on the ride using Bluetooth speakers. A mini fridge or simple box-bag are other options worth trying out on the next adventure.

A defining FEATURE of Revolt is the VARIABLE seat, moving to give the rider the possibility for more extreme riding. The raised position is perfect for longer trips and in an instant it can be lowered for maximum attack of the city streets.
